How parlay odds work

A parlay (accumulator) wins only if every selection wins, so the odds multiply: 1.80 × 2.10 × 1.65 = 6.24. A 10 stake returns 62.37.

Why the margin stacks up

The bookmaker's margin multiplies too. Three selections that each carry a 5% margin add up to about a 16% margin on the parlay (1.05 × 1.05 × 1.05 ≈ 1.16), so on average you give up around 14% of your stake instead of about 5% on a single. That's why parlays look tempting but usually cost more in the long run. Add fair odds for each leg above to see the real edge. It's also why OddsEdge publishes singles: see Singles vs accumulators.
